"Project Runway Party"
Wednesday, November 7th, 2007
8pm-11:30pm
Catalyst Cocktails
312 Harriet Street (off Bryant (Park) between 6th & 7th - one block from the EndUp)
San Francisco
OPEN CALL for contestants (designers - six total), host, mentor & judges (two total).
On Wednesday, November 7th, promoters Skip & Kitten are throwing a Project Runway Party.
"Designers" will be given a model (AKA a Barbie doll) and all the fabric and materials necessary to create an outfit in accord with the challenge issued. There will be two elimination challenges where designers will have forty-five minutes to create an outfit, followed by a runway showing and judging.
Survivors will be "In" and a loser will be, "Auf’ed".
The finals will be at the "PBR Fashion Week" runway show, where three outfits per contestant will be shown and a winner crowned.
All designers will need to pay a small materials fee (TBD).
Designers will get to keep all their "models" and outfits, and everyone receives fabulous prizes and surprises.

The first challenge is issued.
Six designers.
8:45pm
Runway show and judging.
One designer eliminated.
9:00pm
Second challenge is issued.
Five designers.
9:45pm
Runway show and judging.
One designer eliminated.
10:00pm
Finals!
Four designers - three outfits each.
11pm
"PBR Fashion Week" runway show.
Winner receives a Banana to eat in the Republic of their choice
and a $10 certificate to (TBD).
11:30pm-2am
Reunion show, cocktails and dancing with DJ6 (Lucky Pierre, Bender)
Catalyst Cocktails is a San Francisco cocktail lounge and bar, complete with a fabulous small dinner menu. The interior has been newly decorated in a 1930's Art Deco style, with dark purple and gold as it's main colors. The clear glass lighted columns behind the bar, and the lighted wooden ceiling sculpture give a unique flair to this popular bar conveniently located across from the Hall of Justice in San Francisco's SOMA district. The focus in the house beverage menu is on fresh squeezed juice/fruit cocktails.

The "materials fee" will be about $6 or $7 and you get to keep all four of your models (Barbie dolls) if you make the finals. Should be over by 11:30pm at the latest, if you're worried about work the next day. Of course if you win, the party goes all night!
The response for this party has been incredible. I think a lot of people are really excited about the new season starting next week. Jeez, it's been like forever since it was last on!
The "Project Runway Party" is FREE - no cover charge - so we hope to see all you Tribesters there. -
