has anyone seen this about Jeffrey yet?

Project Runway 3 winner Jeffrey Sebelia may be “totally broke,” he says, but he’s also working on Paula Abdul’s forthcoming movie, a live-action version of the Bratz dolls franchise.
Even after receiving the show’s $100,000 prize, “The truth is, I’m totally broke,” he tells New York Magazine. That’s a result of paying off debt related to his Cosa Nostra label. Trying to find $3 to pay for parking, he told the interviewer, “I’m just so tired of haggling. I mean, this is not a big deal, I’m just so tired of it.”
At least one of his friends doesn’t appreciate the dilemma. Giving Jeffrey the finger, a friend Jeffrey ran into on the street said, “Where the hell have you been? Just getting richer?”
Since the show, Jeffrey “has more or less fallen out of touch with the judges and producers,” the magazine reports, and the “mentorship with Macy’s that was meant to be a part of the Project Runway prize was slow to begin.”
However, he does have wok. “I’m almost afraid to admit what I’m doing, but it’s costumes for a movie. It’s a live-action movie for the Bratz. Yeah, those slutty dolls,” he said. That movie is being executive produced by American Idol judge Paula Abdul, whose work on the film will be chronicled in her new reality series.
Paula Abdul and Bratz are all his fame has really bought him. “It’s things like the Bratz movie that are really interested in having someone who won Project Runway attached to their show. Most of the companies I’d like to be involved with really couldn’t give a shit that I was on TV,” he said.

Yeah, I saw it. Cry me a river, Jeffrey. I really don't know what these contestants expect. One of the prizes is a mentorship, in other words, you need to learn to develop contacts and learn how to work with other people in order to succeed. It isn't just handed to you because you talked some trash on a tv show.

    Jeeze!

      > Jeeze!

I couldnt have said it better myself.

Boy it would be cool if there was a "Project Website" show out there I could apply to be on. (Im a web designer) But there isnt, and I have to work on my own to try to make it, just like everyone else who does any kind of design career.

You cant slap-ass something together, be a jerk to people on Tv, and expect to watch the money roll in.

I never liked Jeff, so Im not suprised things arnt working too well for him.

To be fair, look how bad Jay is struggling to do anything with his 15 minutes, and where is Chloe now?? It's not just Jeffrey, I think he's just being honest. Those "mentorships" are really nothing more than tours of the design studio at Banana Republic or Macy's or wherever.

But didnt Jay reject the "prize"?
And doesnt Chloe already have her shop?

I suppose if the mentorship isnt all that, than things are not going to come as easy to the winner as they throught, which is how life is.

i think these contestants are lead to believe that by appearing on the show they will be instant stars in their chosen field but that is clearly not the case,.... as one constestant on America's Next Top Model said, she was lead to belive that by winning she'd be the next Iman and finds herself in a "dorm" like apartment with other struggling models.

It's easy to buy into the instant fame, just look at the winners of American Idols and the runner ups too! the losers often times do better than the winners (Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Tamyra Gray).

when contestants go back to their normal lives after being on a show and it's not what they expected i think that's the "reality "in Reality TV!

Maybe part of the reason for this is American Idol winners are picked by the great unwashed, hence viewers already have a kind of vested interest in supporting their favorites after the show is over. PR winners are picked by industry insiders, which makes it a far better show imo, but might not translate directly into cash for the winner. You still have to work the industry after the show wraps.

Being good tv on a show like PR, where your every move is followed, is very different from being on a show like American Idol, where only your performance is filmed. PR gives maybe a little too much information to be a good marketing tool. Why would anyone want to work with Jeffrey after how he treated Darlene?

Maybe the brats will get a clue and stop invading my favorite show. I'd love to see a whole season without a Wendy, Shetangi, Keith or Jeffrey. (I still have a soft spot for Santino, but that's only because of the singing.)

To be fair, why would anyone want to work for Darlene after what she did to him during a filmed stressful competition?

I agree that Darlene was a trying, difficult customer. Jeffrey just revealed that he has no interest in trying to help or please a difficult customer, which is something that I would look at if I were thinking of hiring or working with someone.

Chloe still creates and runs a very successful label, Lot 8, in Houston, TX. Granted its not the most fashion forward location, but she runs a label, and has a full service salon attached to it so the ladies in Houston have it quite nicely. I visited the shop the last time i was there on business. It seems Chloe is the only one to add to her current situation rather than go back to struggling to make it. NYC or not. Jay? yeah poor Jay. But you know what, he's got some dignity.

<Why would anyone want to work with Jeffrey after how he treated Darlene?>
I dunno people, this is the fashion industry we're talking about. There are certainly worse than Jeffrey in the business. He may be a tool, but perhaps he's more debt free than the show (hell, i'll take that over fame any day with my broke, loan-havin ass).

Oh well, Jeffrey, look on the bright side: now you have a pill-poppin, whacked out washed up reality tv star as a client!! yay!

I feel sorry for him. I don't think much has come out of it for Chloe either and Santino is practically off the map. Makes you wonder about the whole process of these elimination shows- I think it's really about TV ratings.

Has anyone been watching the interior design series?

I watch "Top Design", but it's not nearly as good as PR.
And the judges really suck! What a bunch of posers, no matter how successful they may be, they're too full of themselves.

And Todd Oldham seems like a nice guy, but not much a TV "personality"

While Adler and that Margaret lady are really creepy, I totally love Kelly Werstler. Seeing what she wears each episode is the best part of watching. I noticed none of the male judges wear socks, which gives me the cringes. Even Tom Colicchio wasn't wearing socks the other night....

I can't say anything bad about Todd (besides that he looks like a robotic Ellen Degeneres) because I know someone who works for him. Someone who gave us some interesting dirt-like tidbits on the show. That I can't post here. Because they're too interesting.

That 80's garb that the Werstler was rockin' the other night...I didn't know if I wanted to punch her or kiss her...but god bless her anyway! It was fantastic!!!

As for Todd...oy vey xnwbx...he redefines boring. It's like he reads every single line off of a cue card or something. Love him to death, but he really, really sux.

As for your tidbits...you know what to do! ;)

Todd's screen persona is a little hard to watch.
But calling Jonathan Adler a Genius??? I've seen magazine photos of some of his homes and I'd haveto be Very Very Heavily Medicated to live in ugly rooms like his! I hate his pottery. It looks like shit I see at yardsales and leave behind. There I said it!

Top Design has been lame I think- just can't touch project runway. I enjoyed Top Chef though. How but the new one coming "Sheer Design"???

There was a poster for Shear Genius in a NYC subway that someone scribbled "How many more of this type of shitty show do we need?" on it.

I can't quite figure out why I love project runway so much and enjoy top chef and top design just sucks.

Seems like they use the same formula but the top design challenges have sucked. Design a party?? Design a garage.

I love the yard sale challenge.

Also the judges have not really grown on me. Michael and Nina may be obnoxious sometimes but they know what they are talking about.

            I'm just blathering here....

In all fairness, the women judges on TD are fab. Especially Kelly.

JA sux like an anaconda with a hinged mouth. He's worse than bad. He's criminal. (though I appreciate his noveau preppy look...speaking of...isn't it about time for Lisa Birnbach to re-emerge?!)

And we've already how Todd is as wooden as Pinocchio.

And IMHO...it's hard to beat Korange and ninagarcia...at this point they're like family. :)
