anyone still here? anyone see the finale?
I'm kinda glad Leanne won... I've known many quite, geeky girls like her and I'm really glad to see that a geeky girl made good.
I was really hoping that Korto would win though...my personal taste runs more along her line and I saw more dresses in her collection that I would want than any other of the designers.
I don't know how I feel about Tim stepping in as a last minute judge substitute. I think as their mentor, he should stay completely away from judging, especially since he had some input in the creating of the designs...I'm sure they could have found someone else.

Sat, October 18, 2008 - 6:42 PMI didn't see the final show until today and I was surprised that Leeanne had won, though I sure haven't seen petals like that in clothing! She will be know as the petal lady. I don't know if heavier women would look good in those designs. Kenley seemed to 'borrow' lots of designer ideas and was bascially a nasally brat (though we have the same last name). : )
Kauto did have more wearable, comfortable looking stuff and I loved the fans as props. At least she came in second. -

Thu, October 30, 2008 - 9:20 PMman I was disappointed in the finale. They should not have put Tim in as a judge. He was their confidant and gave them advice. Did he judge them down if they didn't take it? They could have gotten someone at Bravo to step in, for heaven sakes. I thought Leeanne's collection was just so colorless and blah. The petals were cool, but enough already! I liked Kenley's stuff best, but don't follow fashion enough to know if it was truly original. -

Fri, October 31, 2008 - 6:43 AMI don't think it was a big deal that Tim was a judge. He spent equal time with all the contestants, and always seemed to give fair opinions. But if the producers really wanted to keep Tim out of it, they could have asked, say, any one of the thousand other people in the room - celebs, previous season contestants, previous season judges...I don't know anyone who would have turned that down.
