Fuckin' Rami...what a one-trick pony.
Every time I see something from him I feel like I'm watching an episode of the old Wonder Woman teevee series where they are on Paradise Island.
TO-GA, TO-GA, TO-GA!
And while I hate the name...I LOVE Team Fierce!!! Those boys turned it ALL out last night!

Re: May I be the first to say it?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 6:44 AMOh man, finally Nina called Rami out on his "draping". Ha! Youre makin the same god damn dress again! Knock it off!
I cant believe pip-squeek Christian didnt annoy me last night. But thats prolly cause he was teamed with Chris, and we all love Chris. I wanted Chris to be team leader, cause hes awesome and I wanted him to get the credit, I knew they were going to win. That high collar was pretty damn cool. While Im not feeling the 45 yards of ruffle, it was still quite dramatic.
The coat that Victoria made, that was fall-down-gorgeous. I want it so badly, even though it had a pink plaid lining, I want it. I need that coat.
And whatever that big thing was that Ricky and Kit did, that was pretty damn bad, I agree with the judges in calling it sad and poor, cause it was. Even though it had the big hoop skirt, (who knew hoop skirts could be sad) it was the fabric that made it look like crap.
But damn Ricky is STILL around, how in the hell? -

Re: May I be the first to say it?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 7:44 AMi think Jillian was the one responsible for that killer jacket actually. that was truly 'fierce'. it was so fantastic, along with all the intricate details underneath and overall for their look, that i could've gone either way and seen she and victorya win. i loved the whole 45 yards of ruffle actually. and less in love with that shoulder shield thingy. (that had a bit of the drag parade float tastes of Chris, truth be told. we do love him tho.) i got where they were trying to go with it and it still worked well overall. but still...
and yeah, the fabric choices for Kit's dress were just wrong wrong wrong. who goes with prints - let alone so many - for avant garde? the patchwork quilt look was definitely not fashion forward. and we probably have Ricki to blame for the poor choice and use of satin yet again.
i was bummed that Rami turned into such a controlling asshole. he was wreaking over-self confidence and arrogance throughout. and yes. obsessed with draping. i can't believe he truly thought that look was 'out there'. didn't the challenge explicitly state that it didn't have to be wearable or even functional? uhm. hello Rami. i'm glad Sweet Pea outperformed him by kickin ass on the ready to wear portion. -

Re: May I be the first to say it?
Thu, January 17, 2008 - 8:18 AMThe Jillian/Victorya coat was the fierceness. I think the models hairdo took it over the top and it all worked so well together. Poor Rami. I adore him, but I hope he feels like an ass when he sees these episodes. I can understand being a team leader and what not, but he went a little too far with not letting Sweet P in on the design of the main dress. But Sweet P hasn't had great stuff walk down the runway, so I could understand his trepidation
Loved, loved, loved Chris and Christian together. Ferosh. -

Thu, January 17, 2008 - 9:55 PMI'm lusting for the Jillian/Victorya coat!
Why did Rami haveto be such an ass to Sweet P? Did he not realize it was on CAMERA??? One Trick Pony indeed, and on the defense! -

Re: May I be the first to say it?
Fri, January 18, 2008 - 6:29 AMMAJOR RETRACTION:
After reading thru many, many, many blog entries by the boys over at the Rungay site...I realize that THEY called this quite some time ago.
They also expressed their disappointment that Christian receives the win/immunity for this week's Team Fierce victory when the real creative force behind the look was so obviously Chris'.
Red and I both screamed at the teevee when we realized that major oversight.
They both did EXCELLENT work...but the outfit was definitely from Chris' POV. -

Re: May I be the first to say it?
Fri, January 18, 2008 - 7:04 AMi disagree. if you watch the episode again, you'll see that Christian came out of the gate with the over-the-top rings of organza design. and started sketching it immediately, mentioning the fact that they need endless yards of the stuff, etc. Chris contributed the shoulder piece and helped with the overall look. but the concept was clearly Christian's. at least from what can be gauged from the actual aired footage.

Re: May I be the first to say it?
Mon, January 21, 2008 - 9:41 PMActually, I keep thinking "Uli, Uli, Uli" since she was also a drapey-type person ... I really like Chris (and was quite pleased when they brought him back) but is anyone else bummed that Elisa was booted too early since avant garde is her schtick? Would love to see what she could have done with this one. -
